Automotive Repair Dealer And Smog Check Station Licensing
The forms linked on this page must be submitted to the BAR Licensing Unit for processing. You may fill in the application on your computer, but an original signature and date are required. It is your responsibility to ensure that you complete the entire application and submit it with the correct fees. Submission of an incomplete or incorrect application will result in the delay of processing your application.
Applications for license can take 4 -6 weeks for processing. Please DO NOT CALL BAR until after 6 weeks have passed, if you have not heard from BAR about your application.

Smog Check Stations
A registered Automotive Repair Dealer (ARD) may apply for a Smog Check Station license by completing the following application forms. They may be submitted together with an application for registration as an ARD or separately, after you have already become registered as an ARD.
